The decision of which disc jockey (DJ) to hire is a very important one because your DJ has responsibilities far beyond just playing music at your reception. When you hire a DJ for your wedding, you’re also hiring a Master of Ceremonies, a director for your reception and much more. Here are some DJ responsibilities of which you may not be aware.

1. Master of Ceremonies

An experienced DJ will also be an excellent Master of Ceremonies (MC). A good MC keeps your guests in the loop about the various activities that take the place throughout the reception, as well make announcements when needed without drawing too much attention from the newlyweds.
