Looking at the wedding photos of your friends and family (or even strangers) can be great fun, because there are lots of really great wedding photos out there. However, for every outstanding wedding photo you’ve ever seen, there’s at least one that did not go as planned, at all. Here are some tips on which wedding photo poses to avoid, so that you can have great wedding pictures, too.

1. The Epic Zoom

First off, make sure your photographer isn’t one of those who think taking photos that crop out everything except your head is a good way to capture the best wedding day memories. While a photo where you both look like disembodied floating heads with a huge space between you may be good for a few laughs, it’s definitely not how you want the bulk of your wedding photos.
