Extremely disappointed that we had a reservation and from the moment we walked in I could tell we were being jerked around. They didn’t “know” how long the wait would be, we were told, because it was “busy”. Isn’t that something you say to someone without a reservation? We waited over a half hour and then watched as they sat what seemed to be their “friends” at a nice table outside and then proceeded to sit us at the worst table in the restaurant. It was both cramped, loud and next to the kitchen. . They could see I was pissed and they profusely apologized and brought focaccia and bought us desert. Seriously, keep your dessert and apologies and instead honor the reservation. I take the time to make a reservation and this place is either disorganized,incompetent or does not care. They seem to think that they are the pinnacle of Italian cuisine and that people are dumb and can’t see what they are doing. I have traveled extensively, lived in NYC for over a decade and eaten at some fantastic restaurants and this type of behavior leads to reviews like this. If you want to open a restaurant only for your pretentious friends then tell me when I call so I don’t waste my time. Also the food was mediocre at best and the tiramisu was soggy.

Trattoria Da Vittorio is an absolute gem! Authentic Italian flavors, warm and welcoming staff, and a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and made perfectly. Highly recommend!

We ate here once before and food was great. Tried to make a reservation to go back and was a nightmare - Maybe try open table if you cant have someone answering the phone or checking your email. Will not be going back. Dont need to get frustrated trying to make a reservation.
