In a word, WOW. From the outside, this looks like a factory building, but the real magic is on the inside. Entryway is also very nice, giving away that this is more than just a large warehouse. Incredible lighting, full stage warehousing, green room, split setup space, and much much more. Chez is a beautiful, modern, blank canvas that served as the perfect backdrop to our modern wedding this past summer. We had our wedding reception at Chez and it was absolutely perfect! The space is beautiful, with really cool stairs which were lots of fun for pictures! Chez is such a great space for creating your vision; it can really morph into whatever you want it to be with some decorations and the appropriate lighting. Plus, because Chez is a BYOB venue, we were able to work with Prestige Liquors to save a TON on alcohol, compared to all-in-one venues. There was some issue apparently with one of the sinks in the bathrooms during the evening, but we were warned about it and there were additional bathrooms available within the venue for those who could do stairs. We worked extensively with Lauren Smith at Chez, and she was an absolute delight to work with. She was responsive via email and text, and sensitive to our unique needs in terms of loading in and out decorations, given that we were having a wedding in Chicago while living out of state. She even Skyped with us so we could see the venue since we were unable to come in in person initially. We could not have asked for a more perfect venue for our July 2022 wedding! Spencer and his team were amazing to work with – organized, quick to respond, and accommodating with any requests we had. Classic event space in Logan Square has been well maintained over the years. The upstairs ballroom is quite large and the bar area connected is a great complement. The acoustics in the room was surprisingly good for live music. Even though it lacks parking, there is plenty of space along the boulevard within one or two blocks. We used Stan Mansion as our venue for our NYE wedding and it was incredible. I fell in love with Stan Mansion when we first visited it. t is truly beautiful and such a unique venue. I was an aw the first time I shot a wedding at The Ivy room! The Ivy Room is nestled in the heart of downtown Chicago and hidden from view. The fact that it is hidden in plain sight makes it feel even more magical. Walking into the garden area you feel like you have been transported into another world. The outdoor courtyard with dripping ivy is the perfect spot for an intimate and romantic city wedding ceremony. The head coordinator there was so helpful and was wonderful to work with. I’ve photographed multiple weddings at Loft Lucia over the years. It’s a great venue with tons of natural light that fills the space. The patio upstairs can be used for ceremonies, but this can be tricky with the hot afternoon sun. Not so much an issue during cocktail hour/sunset. Firehouse is an adorable, vintage wedding venue in the city. When my husband and I saw it we immediately knew it was the perfect place for us to get married. We didn’t realize that on top of a perfect venue we would also be able to work with above and beyond staff who made our wedding an absolute dream. Sarah coordinated everything while being so easy to work with including answering all of my silly questions! She made me feel at ease with everything going on, including when a vendor changed their timeline just a few days before the wedding.
