Wedding cupcakes are becoming very popular as an alternative to traditional wedding cakes. Other options are also becoming more common, including pies, dessert stations and other inventive ways of celebrating with sweets. Here are ways to keep costs under control.

1. Dessert Stations

If you’re having a dessert station, make sure you’re clear what’s going to be served. If your dessert station is slated to have several premium pastries, ask about options to serve a few classic choices instead. By eliminating the sometimes excessive variety from wedding dessert stations, you can save 10% or more. Think about offering wedding cupcakes as at least one selection, and perhaps as all of them, in different varieties.
