He finally popped the question and you’re happily planning your perfect day. Once you’ve picked a date, it’s time to let your intended guests know their presence is going to be requested when you tie the knot.  This is done by sending out cards asking your prospective guests to “save the date”. Here’s how it works.

1. It’s Courteous, not Overkill

You might think it’s a little much to send out cards announcing your wedding date six months before the wedding, but if you’re planning a location wedding or marrying on a popular travel date, sending a save the date card is greatly appreciated. It’ll also increase the chances that your guests will be able to attend.
